Hi, my name is Nicole Connell, and I am a senior History major (and Classics and Digital Arts and Humanities minors) at Carleton, with a focus on early American history. I have worked with both Professors Austin Mason and Serena Zabin on a variety of academic and Digital Humanities projects over my time at Carleton, including this one during my freshman year. Last time, I helped gather reference photos and other material for the 3D modeling team, a task that I found challenging (photography obviously wasn’t a thing yet) but ultimately rewarding. This time around, I hope to work again on incorporating primary source material into the game, this time looking at the people involved in crafting the narrative of the Boston Massacre.

Beyond Carleton, I hope to pursue work in archives and public history. Working on this project is a really cool opportunity to think about how to share historical information in an engaging and accessible way.
